Anywhere:

Anywhere is a project management tool for growing teams to help them organize work and maximize team productivity. Asana:

Asana is another tool for project management that doesn't let teams lose track of their work.

Teams can see their company plans, check task progress, and discuss work on one platform through Asana. No matter where you are, you can connect and collaborate with your team as all your teamwork stays in one place.

Asana gives you real-time status updates and visual highlights to check on work and find out risks. It lets you mark priority tasks and set deadlines which keep the team on track. Asana is yet another project management tool that works best for teams.

Features of Anywhere and Asana

Introduction to Anywhere and Asana must excite you to know more about their features. So, in this section, we will compare both of the project management tools based on their features that will help you to choose one for your organization. Let’s begin.

Workspace creation and ease of use

Anywhere is a simple tool in which you can create a workspace with just one click. Anywhere has various predefined templates that you can use to create boards quickly which means you don’t need to create boards from scratch. In Anywhere, you can drag and drop tasks from one board to the other making it simpler to work and manage.

Asana has lots of features that sometimes make it more complex for users to understand its working. But it gets easy to use when you get your hands on it. Asana has 40+ templates among which you can choose one for your project to create workspace boards.

Through Asana, you can break work into manageable pieces for you and your team. It allows you to assign task responsibility with just one mark. Using Asana smoothens the workflow in the organization.

Flexibility in managing boards

Boards on Anywhere are easy and flexible to manage and allow teams to track different projects. Anywhere also helps in managing cross-team projects through one shared board. For instance, engineering teams can use them to manage their projects, sales teams can use them for managing leads, marketing teams can use them to manage their content production, and HR can use them for recruiting, onboarding, and Applicant Tracking Systems. Teams can update and make changes to project boards anytime. It’s flexible to make changes, add, reorder, and rename groups to categorize tasks.

In Asana, teams can keep their project work at their fingertips via boards. It lets you specify the date and time for tasks to avoid confusion about deadlines. Asana allows teams to add files to any conversation on individual tasks. This tool also lets teams establish a formal submission process for work requests via easy-to-fill forms. Teams can respond or vote for tasks just with one like. Working is simple via these boards.

Board automation

From anywhere, teams can navigate to board automation by clicking the chatbot-like button on the top right side. The automation works on a simple principle of when this happens do that. The events that cause actions are called triggers. There are various predefined triggers as well as actions that you can choose from to automate repetitive tasks. Once you have chosen trigger and action, add automation by clicking on the "Add To Board" button.

It helps you to automate tons of actions and saves you a lot of time. You can use this board automation to create powerful automatic emails. Teams can use board automation to update stakeholders by automatically sending daily status reports.

Like Anywhere, Asana also lets you automate work that you hate. Automation in Asana also works similarly on the principle of when this happens do that. Automation saves your time from tedious manual tasks. This simplifies workflows, reduces errors, and saves time for solving more important problems.

Custom Filter Views

Anywhere Boards also has a filter option on the top right side. You can filter tasks based on your requirements. This offers you the custom view and also gives you the option to save that custom view which means you do not need to filter the data again and again.

Whenever you wish to see that custom view you can choose it from the drop-down button on the top left side.

Asana custom fields help teams to go beyond tasks and track everything but do not allow you to filter the tasks. You can customize field names, types, and values and can create new fields. Custom fields let teams track important team information so that it stays in the front.

Custom Dashboard through Widgets

Dashboards give you a Holistic Eagle eye view of projects which is important for organizations that’s why Anywhere focuses more on that. Anywhere allows teams to create customized dashboards by adding widgets as per requirements. For this, you just need to select views (customized views) and then chart type. A customized dashboard will give you an overview of your tasks from the chosen board.

Asana also has the option to create customized charts that give teams real-time project data visuals in one place. It’s difficult to create customized dashboards on Asana based on customized views as there is no filter views option here. Even though you can get a real-time overview of how busy team members are across projects, and rebalance work to keep projects on track.

Client access to workspace

By Anywhere, you can manage multiple clients and create multiple workspaces one for each client. You can either add a blank workspace that will not have any boards or add a workspace using templates with a few boards and widgets that you can modify or customize. You can then invite clients to that workspace. Clients will see only those workspaces that are shared with them and not others.

Within the shared workspace, you can decide which board or column you want your clients to have access to. For this, the board columns have column access where you can choose people with whom you wish to share those columns. You can have complete control over which data clients or team members will see.

Also, the comments section is for internal team members by default and if you wish to share something with clients via the comment section you can click to 'reply to client' in the comments. You can choose which comments you want to share with clients and which ones you want to keep internal to the team.

In contrast with this, Asana has different ways to control client access to the workspace. Asana lets you create hidden teams for sensitive work and public teams for everyone. This way you can limit access to any project in Asana. You can lock projects by making them comment-only which lets you share information with clients and other team members by eliminating the chances of unwanted edits.

Decision and blockers

Anywhere’s decisions and blockers option in the comment section is really helpful. Whenever any important decisions are taken in the company via the comment section, there are chances of missing those important decisions in those very many comments by other team members. So by marking a comment as a decision you can inform all the other members who might have missed it.

Also, blockers options help you to identify the people who have been blocked by others for that particular task and let you keep an eye on those blockers closely. This way you can ensure smooth decision making and work within the organization.

Unlike Anywhere, there is no such decision and blockers option in Asana. You can mail through Asana if you have taken any important decisions. If there is any person you want to block from a particular project, you can privately message them in Asana to inform them about that particular decision.

Integrations

Anywhere has integrations with various apps such as Google Calendar, Google Drive, Microsoft Calendar, Microsoft one drive, Dropbox, Gmail, Slack, etc. that lets you use features of those apps in Anywhere. Along with this, you can use Zapier Integration on Anywhere which connects you with over 2000+ other services.

Unlike Anywhere, Asana integrates you with so many apps that you rely on every day for more efficient work. Asana makes it easier for teams to track work and save time by integrations with various other apps such as Robust rest API, Dropbox, Google Drive, Slack, Gmail, GitHub, Instagantt, Harvest, etc.

White labeling

Anywhere offers white labeling in professional as well as premium pricing plans where it allows you to rebrand Anywhere as per your company brand colors and logo and use it as an extension of your own company.

Unlike Anywhere, Asana offers white labeling as a custom branding feature in the Enterprise pricing plan (only one pricing plan) which allows you to put your logo front and center. With custom branding, you can use your own logo in Asana.
